Step Lively Video

Reggae Strong was the first reggae television series to be broadcast internationally between 1987-1992. The interview, concert & cultural footage uploaded here was produced by Step Lively Video between 1984 - 1994, a classic era in roots reggae music.

Conceived by Jamaican playwright/actor Stafford Ashani, as a "cultural video magazine", and produced & edited by Diane Gurwitz (later dubbed 'Strong'), out of New York City—an essential stop on every artist's itinerary—Reggae Strong documents a vital decade in reggae's international development The original News & Reviews sections & vintage ads from those first seasons, included here, offer a unique time capsule into reggae history.

I am also sharing this channel with Concrete Jungleheart Photo Art, where I will be creating music videos from original photo art shot in my hometown. I look forward to bringing you good vibes, good images and good music to strengthen our souls and keep our spirits up.
