Every Muslim claims to love Allah and His Prophet Muhammad (s), but how many actually do? Love is shown through obidience, Love is not just practiced in the heart, but also through our actions.
"Say (O Muhammad): 'if you (truly) love Allah, follow me! Allah will then love you and forgive your sins.' And Allah is All Forgiving, All Merciful." (3:31)
The Taabi'ee, az-Zuhree commented, "Clinging to the sunnah is to be saved" as Imaam Maalik (rahimahillah) said, 'like the Ark of Noah', he who embarked upon it was saved, and he who did not was destroyed." [Ad-Daarimee]
'It is not for a believing man nor a believing women, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, to have the choice in their affair; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has surely gone astray in manifest error.' (33:36)
'And whosoever contends with the Messenger after guidance has been made clear to him, and follows a way other than the way of the believers, We shall leave in the path he has chosen, and land him in Hell, what an evil destination!' (4:115)
'O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger and those of you who are in authority; and if you have a dispute concerning any matter, refer it to Allah and His Messenger if you believe in Allah and the Last Day; that is best and more suitable to the end.' [4:59]
Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be please with him) reported that the Prophet (s) said: "All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those that refuse. Those who were with him (the Sahaabah) said, "And who will refuse?" He (s) said: Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me will have refused." (Sahih Al- Bukhari)
RasoolAllah (s) said, "I have left behind me two things, if you cling to them you will never go astray. They are the Book of Allaah and my Sunnah" (al-Haakim)
