Terence Mckenna was an ethnobotanist, lecturer, author and mystic. Terence gave many talks throughout the 1980s and 90s on a variety of subject matters including, psychedelic plants, shamanic rituals, media studies, literature, Hermeticism, alchemy, eschatology and consciousness. Mckenna was best known as an advocate for the exploration of ones own consciousness through the use of plant-based entheogens. In the early 1970s he formulated a pattern of time based on the I Ching which he believed predicted major events through history including the end of time.
