गोपाष्टमी अर्थात गोविन्द और गो माता का पूजन अर्चन l

विदित हों कि गो माता मे तैंतीस कोटि देवताओं का वास रहता है l

जिस घर गाय रहती है वहां किसी प्रकार का वास्तुदोष, प्रेत बाधा या पितर दोष नहीं रहता है l

रामायण में वर्णित है -
गरल सुधा रिपु करे मिताई l
गोपद सिंधु अनल सितलाई ll

अर्थात्‌ गाय के पद (खुर) में सिंधु (सागर) के समान शीतलता व्याप्त रहती है l

इसीलिये गोशाला की मिट्टी लाकर उसे घर के पूजा स्थान में रखना चाहिए l उस मिट्टी का थोड़ा थोड़ा छिड़काव घर के हर कमरे में भी करना चाहिए l

क्योंकि जहां गौ माता रहती हैं या उनके खुर की मिट्टी रहती है, वहां 33 कोटि देवों का वास रहता है l

भगवान कृष्ण इस महत्ता को जानते थे इसीलिये वे गोप गोपी के साथ गाय चराते एवं अपनी लीलाएं करते थे l

कुछ भी न कर पाएं तो गौ माता को आज के दिन यथा सम्भव कुछ भी खिला कर उनके चरण,पीठ, ग्रीवा का स्पर्श करें, नवग्रहों की बाधाएं दूर होंगी |
