Dr Leisure1's Channel has become the number one site documenting the life and plight of the Hawaiian Monk Seal.
The channel is the creation of Dr. George R. Harker. The "compulsively laid-back" Harker adopted "Dr. Leisure" as his trademark in 1991. Actually when Harker came to Maui in 1987 he was not known as Dr. Leisure. Sporting "compulsively laid-back" on his T shirts he found he was readily accepted as fitting in with the island scene..
Dr. Leisure's YouTube Channel was created in 2007 with a posting involving video of Axis Deer at Makena State Park. Documenting wildlife and other aspects of natural resource management has evolved in the videos presented on the site today.
