Music By Mary Lou Fulton

Mary Lou Fulton's first song won a national songwriting contest, and her debut album reached the Top 15 on the Folk Alliance International chart. Now she's back with a new single, the hard-grooving Many More of Us about the majority of Americans who want women to have the freedom to decide about having children.

Fulton's songwriting success builds on her career as a noted journalist at The Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post, and advocate for social justice. Her personal and political music reflects her upbringing as the daughter of a Mexican immigrant raised in Yuma, AZ.

In 2019, Mary Lou released “Not Going Back,” which won RAWA's annual “Songs for Social Change” contest, beating out 300 entries. In 2021 Mary Lou released her debut album, We'll Tell Stories, praised by Alt-Root ("a powerful and profound piece of work") and Americana Highways (she "walks the narrow path of truth in every song.")
