MPTF Studios
All the content on the MPTF Studios Channel was inspired, created, and produced by residents, volunteers, and staff at the Motion Picture & Television Fund retirement campus for entertainment industry retirees.
Broadcasting since 2006, MPTF Studios has grown from a single room into a production studio complete with cameras, editing bays, and teams of people who have impacted thousands of lives, proving that creativity is ageless. The need to shut down traditional production due to the pandemic opened a door in 2020 that pushed creativity in an unexpected direction: live broadcasts four days a week. Using online platforms, residents create and participate in programming, keeping MPTF Studios open for business, and keeping the residents engaged during this extremely isolating time.
Today a combination of live and recorded programs air 24/7 on the campus closed-circuit station that broadcasts directly to residents’ rooms. This channel provides a sampling of our original programming.
