A Sacramento, California-based entrepreneur, animal advocate, author, and podcast host, Paul Shapiro leads The Better Meat Co. as CEO. Drawing on more than two decades of animal protection experience, he co-founded the business-to-business startup in 2018 and employs a team of scientists, engineers, and chefs who have created the Rhiza mycoprotein to satiate society's collective "meat tooth."
