Jai Agnish
Jai Agnish, an award-winning multi-media journalist, was active in music during the mid-90s. He published a fanzine called Flygirl and ran an independent record label called Blue Bunny Records. He recorded and performed intermittently until 2008, when he released his last full-length entitled Awake When You Dream as a free download on Bandcamp.
After a break, music found its way back into Jai’s life in 2021. He uploaded his back catalog to streaming platforms, including his debut CD Automata, first released in 2000. He also began recording and releasing a series of singles using a MIDI workstation and acoustic guitar.
Pitchfork, in a 7.6 rating of Automata, said: “Agnish blends electronics, toys, and folk into a chalice and offers it to you as a gift. Both familiar and unlike anything else, you’d be wise to taste it.”
