Books from nonprofit and independent publishers.
I love books from small presses, and I've spent the last few years reading as much as I can from them.
Small publishers are often less profit driven than large publishers. Meaning they can take more literary risks. They can publish voices outside the mainstream. They often have a mission, a vision, a vibe. Some focus on the natural world, or excel at speculative fiction. Some publish only poetry or translated literature. Some are committed to social justice and radical change. The list goes on.
I want to share my love for these books and publishers, but most of all I want to help match you to your perfect publisher, who consistently puts out the kind of books that catch YOUR eye. There’s so much to explore. Welcome!
