The very Last Cabriolet of chicklets for the EartH London show now. I’m busy making sweet melody to a computer somewhere. Meanwhile, don’t miss out. Awful. Ticket link below. Here is a Tony Clawk on a scooter. earthackney.co.uk/events/westerman-31-03-2022/
To everyone who’s not bought a ticket to my upcoming show at EartH Hackney on 31 March but might want one, they are rapidly declining in number now. Irrespective of this new scarcity, we will not change the price. We don’t like that. Here is an oil painting of a lost and confused weatherman on a lonesome mountain in Southern California in the dark. Love from Will.
HappyNewYear. Here is the original demo for ‘Blue Comanche’ from the Choupana Tapes for digital Ears. I'm happy to be able to share it more widely. Stay warm. W. Listen to ‘Blue Comanche (Sketch)’ at westerman.lnk.to/BC_Sketch
I'd like to take a brief moment now to thank you all for the kind words you've shared about the release of my album, and to thank all the people who have helped me make it.
The music we made is speaking towards matters of iniquity - so to see people move in ways combating these things collectively is a great source of hope for me. I only hope that within the seas of change we can all do our best to find threads of universal humanity. There is always the danger of widening the poles of perceived difference instead of bridging them, and we must stay alert and keep from falling into this all too familiar pitfall. There is still much more work to be done.
I want to thank firstly the wonderful musicians who have helped me make the record: Joe Mcgrail on twinkly keys. Laura Groves on woozy keys and celestial BV’s. Ben Reed on both slinky and slinkless bass. Lucinda Chua on hearty strings. Nathan Jenkins on sound constellation. Tuca Milan on Brazilian wood nut hits. Tic on future mutant guitar. Zsela on warmth and depth in the final track. Joviale and the Poisonettes for singing down the line. James Arben on plaintif canard.
Also I would like to give special thanks to the following people without whom this record would not exist in the way that it now does: Jane Third, Fabian Prynn, Ed Horrox, Tim Putnam, Lisa Ekdahl, Braulio Amado, Chris Robbins, Tom Wironen, Haley Kaye, Mathias Bolmdahl and Xica Aires.
I want this music to be a place to think and feel without fear of any judgment and I hope it can be that for you. Thank you all for listening -
Dorothy Day by Lea - I’m not familiar with Dorothy Day’s life but a brief read up now marks her as a great candidate for this time. There is strength and pain in this picture. A dignified embattled quality and resolution we could all find use in. Thank you Lea.
If you dm me on Instagram (@westermanmusic) with a drawing of a hero of yours and your name I will post it with an appraisal. Share the game with whoever you think might be done good by drawing a hero.

This is from Marina and it’s James Baldwin turning his head. It reminds me of Medusa - but also the many angles the formed mind needs to take into account, and the conviction needed to remain resolute. Be well all. W

"Take" is a selfish song glimpsed momentarily somewhere through the haze of the mesh and the swarm. Taking breaks the heart of love.
