Publishing the videos here is a means for creating a bit of a challenge when I practice.
My basses are:
Fender precision -66, sunburst
Custom built fretless of Jazzbass type -86, nature
Ibanez Roadstar RB960 -85, black
Hagström Super Swede -81, sunburst
Sadowsky NYC Standard -80, red
I line the bass into the computer from my preamp, SWR Grand Prix or EBS Microbass II.
I use an M-Audio Delta soundcard with four inputs and four outputs. In the M-Audio software, I mix the music that runs on the computer with the lined signal from the bass preamp. The (software) mixed signal is then used as input for the video recording software.
The signal from one of the outputs of the soundcard is fed to a headphone preamp such that I hear the music mixed with my bass in the headphones.
I'm inspired by guys like Freddie Washington, Jaco Pastorius, Abraham Laboriel, Marcus Miller, Paul McCartney and Duck Dunn.
