Hi I'm Lea Murray. I am a Veterinarian Technician. I love opossums! This YouTube channel is named after my possum Barley (Bar-Bar) who passed away October 262014.

The possums I care for are hurt, sick and/or rescued from danger. They are not meant to be pets.

Opossums are wonderful, misunderstood creatures. Opossums are our nation's only native marsupial! They balance the ecosystem in suburban areas and should never be harmed if spotted in your yard. They will not hurt your children, cats or dogs. Give them a chance, and I'm sure you will love them too! It's almost impossible for opossums to get rabies and they are immune to venomous snake bites.

If you ever encounter a possum that is hurt or in need, there are opossum rescue organizations in most major cities in the US that you can contact.
