FishArt: Participatory art for the Ocean
The EU-funded project FishArt aims to raise awareness and promote public acceptance of sustainable behaviors to combat marine and coastal pollution. It also seeks to foster a collaborative and creative transformation of a once-degraded public space into a vibrant community hub.
Through a radically participatory approach to art and education, FishArt supports the revitalization of the Fishermen’s Harbour in Anzio, Italy. This participatory aesthetic and cultural transformation of the area aims to breathe new life into a public space that plays a crucial role in the local economy and is closely linked to coastal waters, reversing its current state of neglect and degradation.
