I do what I do because I believe NWO conspiracy theory (CT) to be nothing more than a contemporary social media-driven eschatology. A modern apocalyptic cult. A convenient panacea for the ignorant and chronically intellectually incurious. Hopelessness and despair can be liberating and even comforting. No one living in this socially atomized consumer culture can be blamed for finding the idea of a monolithic and arbitrarily evil entity an appealing explanation for their own lack of sovereignty. With so many feeling isolated, disenfranchised, and ignored, Western fundamentalism grows more radical with every year, with greater numbers of people are succumbing to the weight of impotence, antipathy and ignorance, and flocking to the new religions springing up around conspiracy theory and anti-politics. NWO CT is nihilistic entertainment; diverting anti-politics that reward passivity while blinding the participant w/ the illusion that they are fighting the establishment. This is its danger.
