Founded in 2018, Ascent of Autumn is a melodic deathcore band from Sydney, Australia, comprising of Tristan Daniell (vocals), Jordan Jacques (guitars), and Natthapol Janpuang (drums). While the three-piece's early work resembled a melodic metalcore sound inspired by bands like As I Lay Dying, Bullet for my Valentine and Currents, the band undertook a shift in direction following a number of lineup changes, incorporating much darker inspirations from bands such as As Blood Runs Black, Shadow of Intent, and Fit for an Autopsy.
The band's upcoming debut album, Awakened, is a concept album exploring personal strife and growth, with allusions to philosophical topics such as existentialism and nihilism.
