A rebellious punk rock kid from Phoenix, Mat has been forever at odds with the conservative upbringing he left behind and the allure of constantly discovering his new self in Los Angeles. A singer/songwriter drawing inspiration from Alt Pop artists such as Halsey, Blackbear, Billie Eilish, and his punk rock roots of Anti-Flag, The Unseen, and Rise Against, Mat finds himself under constant reinvention.
With such inspirations and a long history of musical theatre, he is torn between the worlds of up-beat pop songs and gritty emotional anthems, Mat has fused together the sounds and feelings to craft his own image of heartfelt, engaging poetry and put it to music that shares this juxtaposition.
