Athlete Leader Jacob Huffman
I’m Jacob Huffman, a 28-year-old young adult with autism and ADHD. As the Chairman of the Athlete Leadership Council for Special Olympics North Carolina, I'm passionate about empowering athletes and advocating for inclusion. I also serve on the Special Olympics U.S. Athlete Leadership Council and the Special Olympics Gaston County Local Committee, where I work to amplify the voices of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
This Summer (2024), I was a Communications Intern with Special Olympics North Carolina. I am also dedicated college student at Gaston College, entering my fourth and final year. Outside of Special Olympics and my academic pursuits, I'm an active member of Toastmasters International, honing my public speaking and leadership skills.
