This is my personal channel. Originally, I was dabbling in YouTube to see if it would be a useful way of publishing my home movies. Now that I'm producing some videos that might actually be useful or interesting to a wider audience, this page is turning into my video portfolio.

I have mainly been filming at events organised by environmentally- and/or socially-conscious groups around Adelaide. I'm also interested in sport, politics, macroeconomics, information technology, psychology, film and theatre, among a range of other things.

I'm largely self-taught in video production, and I'm teaching myself Final Cut Studio as I go (and enjoying it immensely). Typically, I shoot with a still camera that just happens to do video as well, since it's nice to be able to carry around easily one device that does both stills and video. My current weapon of choice is a Panasonic DMC-TZ7, so I have started uploading videos in 720p HD. This isn't ideal hardware, of course, but as is my nature, I'm trying to make what I produce as professional as I can. Feel free to let me know what you think, although I can't promise to respond to everything.
