Retro Recording Services is a Record Label and Recording Studio specialized in 40’s & 50’s Music: Rock’n’Roll, R’n’B, Blues, Rockabilly, Country, Doo Wop, and so on.
We use original vintage US microphones and mixers and we record to tape.
Our mission is to reach the sound and the vibes of the records coming from the Golden Era of American Music. It’s not just a matter of what you hear, is how you work on the songs and how you record them: all together in the same room.
We’re not trying to recreate obsessively a popular sound: we do not emulate Sun Records, Atlantic, Chess. Our goal is to sound as a label that have could been existed back in the days, but in a personal and unique way. It’s a vintage sound, but it doesn’t sound exactly like a specific label or studio. Our choice is personality.
