Considered the most influential Jazz photographer and filmmaker in Montreal,
Randy has filmed, photographed or recorded notable jazz artists from Joe Chambers (Blue Note album cover, 2023), Ron Carter, Emmet Cohen, Ulysses Owens Jr., Ben Patterson and Jimmy Cobb. Frequent collaborations with Vancouver's Cory Weeds of Cellar Music, and Montreal's l'Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJM) have kept him busy, and Randy has been the primary documentarian for saxophonist Yannick Rieu, and Ottawa based guitarist Roddy Ellias. He has documented Juno award winning and nominated recordings including Joel Millers “SWIM”, Christine Jensen’s “Habitat”, Trifolia’s “Refuge”, Marianne Trudel’s “La vie commence ici”, and Christine and Ingrid Jensen's "Infinitude". He has filmed and recorded extensive collaborations with New York saxophonist Azar Lawrence, and Montreal saxophonist Al McLean.
