AVI AMON is a Turkish-American composer and sound artist. Theater work includes music, songs, & sound design for projects with: Ars Nova, Bushwick Starr, Danspace, NYTW, Oregon Shakespeare, Page73, Signature, The Public, Target Margin, and Waterwell. Avi’s film scores have been featured at Cannes, DocNYC, Disney, HBO, Hulu, Slamdance, Tribeca Film Festival, and the 2024 Venice Biennale. Recent: music & sound design for THE FOLLOWING EVENING w/600Highwaymen (PAC NYC); a musical, THROUGH THE SUNKEN LANDS (Kennedy Center); and a multimedia performance piece, MOTHER/ROAD with REBOOT Studios. Avi is a MacDowell Fellow and has received artistic support from the Jonathan Larson Grant, Berkeley Rep, Dramatists Guild, Goodspeed, Mercury Store, The O’Neill NMTC, Rhinebeck, among others. Avi is the music director at the 52nd Street Project and teaches at NYU.
