Chess is a musical composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of the pop group ABBA, The lyrics and story is written Ulvaeus and Tim Rice. Story stages a politically driven, Cold War–era chess tournament between two grandmasters, one American and the other Soviet Russian. They fight over a woman who manages one of them but falls in love with the other.
