The 2017 Oakley Surf Shop Challenge kicked off Friday, March 24th at Seaside Reef in Cardiff, Calif. with the Southwest regional qualifier. San Diego County area surf shops competed for the opportunity to represent their region against six other regional finalists from North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida, Northern California, Southern California and Hawaii.
The unique event series pits four-man surf shop teams (two shop pros and two shop employees) against each other. The winning team from each of the seven regional qualifiers will win an all-expense-paid trip to the National Championship at an undisclosed location and title of America’s Most Core Surf Shop.
