Gargantuan
Gargantuan is a two piece underground experimental grunge rock band with sludgy guitars and snarling vocals that was formed in late May of 2019 by Sully Holmes (17) and Zac Mercure (17). Gargantuan categorizes themselves as being "Slunge" due to their sound being a mix of late 80s grunge music and early 90s sludge metal, with their primary influences being the bands TAD, Willard, The Melvins, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Gruntruck, My Sister's Machine, and Skin Yard. As of December 2019, the band has released two demo albums and one demo E.P. full of songs they recorded in their rooms with a 0$ budget, (So they're pretty lo-fi / DIY). Despite their favorite genre of music being dead for the most part, Gargantuan continues to defy mainstream music by pushing out heavy, raw tracks laced with the distortion and intensity of the "good ol' days" when music was actually music, and musicians had to shovel the mud off the streets just to scrape by.
