HIP POCKET MEMORIES
This channel was set up to showcase the work of Johnny & Diane Simons, Douglas Balantine and the many talented Actors, Dancers and Musicians of The Hip Pocket Theatre of Fort Worth, Texas. The first performances were in 1976 and they continue to this day 45 years later making it one of the longest running independent experimental theatres in the United States.
In 2014 JOHN MURPHY began the arduous task of hunting down the videotaped performances of the Hip Pocket and converting those tapes into digital format. He is still working to track down lost shows and I will continue to upload them here as they come to light.
