Strange Famous Records has always existed comfortably on the fringes of hip hop. Founded by indie hip hop legend Sage Francis in 1996 as a way to release his own music, by 2005 the operation had expanded tenfold and now boasts releases from some of the best independent hip hop acts around the world.

SFR is also a boutique webstore: we offer special deals on vinyl, East-Coast-Tough shirts, jackets, hoodies, wool-knit and snapback hats, as well as posters, stickers, buttons, digital downloads, signed items, exclusive limited / rare goods, and more.
