Hey guys! This is the cake me and Brittany made earlier. It is a lemon pound cake but with a twist! We poked holes in the cake and made a lemon simple syrup to pour over it. This cake is full of delicious lemon flavor all throughout! A special thank you to Old Country Kitchenware for sending me the cake pan I used. Guys this was my first time ever seeing or using a square cake pan. It’s so unique and I will definitely be using it again. Drop a comment below if you have used one before.

Hey guys, happy Sunday! I hope this post finds you all doing well and in good spirits. Tuck just posted a video of the purple hull peas we’ve planted. The reason I did not get on the video and talk to you all about them is because it is an experiment I am trying with the way I’m growing them. This is what you call second crop peas. When my parents were planting peas, once they harvested the first crop, they would plant another, crop of peas and they would be so delicious. The flavor was just out of this world. I had a difficult time finding old-fashioned purple hull peas but I think I finally got some. If you know anything about them, then you know these are the types of peas that would give you a real dark pot liquor and would have your thumbs purple for two weeks after shelling them. Lol. I will keep you all updated as they continue to progress and serve you up a bowl once I prepare them. 😌 Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and God bless 😇😍🙏🏽

Good morning everyone 😊 guys I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be posting a Garden Update video today.what I want yall to know about this
Video is that it is about 3 weeks old, it was taken the next day after we had our first soaking rain after we had planted our Spring Garden for 2024🪴and to be factual about we really haven’t had another since then 😥 we have been having just small rain 🌦️ but we are thankful for that, we have been just having to water 💦 our garden 🪴 more. But overall it is still producing…Tuck will be planting our second crop soon.. I’m not sure what we are going to plant yet but we will update you guys on what we do 😊 I hope you guys enjoy the video and give it a thumbs up 👍🏽 and let me know how yall garden doing 🥰 God bless you and your family 😇🙏🏾

Good evening everyone. I hope this post finds everyone doing well and in good spirits. Although it is a holiday weekend that many of us are using to spend with family,(
let us not forget what this holiday is all about. Please remember all of the brave men and women of the armed forces that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, as well as, the families that they left behind. You all know I love to share stories from my childhood with you all. I want to share a small memory with you all of when Memorial Day first became a holiday. My dates may be off because y’all know I’m a senior citizen. Lol. I was in middle at time and my social studies teacher was so happy that they were making it a federal holiday to show respect and honor to those that gave their lives for our country. She gave a moving speech about it that I still remember til this day. For this reason it is a holiday that I have always respected. I hope you all have a safe rest of your weekend. Also, I will be coming with a summer garden video soon. Remember to think positive, make good choices and Mae Mae loves you. 😍🙏🏽😇🇺🇸

Happy Sunday morning everyone. I hope this post finds everyone doing well. I just wanted to take a minute to tell you that I have been very busy picking, prepping and putting collards in the freezer so they wouldn’t get damage by this Arctic freeze we are having. I tried to save as many as I could because you never know what those freezing temperatures will do to your crops. I wanted to save as many as I could because last year the freeze ruined them. I was able to get several bags put up and I’m thankful to God I was able to get what I did. Hopefully what was left out there will be okay. That was a lot of work which is why I haven’t put up any videos. I hope to get you guys a video for a real delicious pork roast recipe and a weekly meal. If you’re having cold weather I hope you are staying nice and warm, I will see yall in my next video! 🥰🙏🏽😇
