Cacophonous
CACOPHONOUS is the home of British Extreme Metal. Conceived in the winter of 1992, CACOPHONOUS spawned into actual being in the spring of 1993 to initially release a series of seven inch singles from the likes of MONOLITH and PSYCHIC PAWN. But it was with the signing of black metal giants CRADLE OF FILTH that catapulted the label to the forefront of the underground, unleashing the band and labels first full length album, THE PRINCIPLE OF EVIL MADE FLESH, on an unsuspecting world in early 1994. Since those initial years CACOPHONOUS has grown into a byword for extreme metal, responsible for the burgeoning careers of DIMMU BORGIR, BAL-SAGOTH and SIGH.
Resurrected in 2016, the label to this day remains unafraid to champion the most diverse of genres; breathing new life into Extreme Metal with it's current roster - THE KING IS BLIND, THE INFERNAL SEA, OLD CORPSE ROAD, NECRONAUTICAL and EASTERN FRONT.
