Xiaoming Guan, M.D., PhD. professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). He serves as the division chief and fellowship director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at BCM.
Dr. Xiaoming Guan earned his medical degree at Fujian Medical College, China. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at St. Joseph's Hospital, and a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Guan's clinical interests include alternative procedures to hysterectomy, fibroids , endometriosis and pelvic pain using minimally invasive surgical techniques including robotic surgery and single-incision laparoscopic trans umbilical and trans vaginal surgery. He also treats urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He has performed surgeries in patients with morbid obese, extreme large uterus, multiple previous surgeries laparoscopically.
