Could Ever emerged as a response to a need for creative expression, a longing that had been stifled in the corporate confines of his day job. Drawing inspiration from Washed Out, Phoenix, The Mary Onettes, Best Coast, Hellogoodbye’s “Would It Kill You,” Night Beds, and We Were Promised Jetpacks, he began to craft songs during late-night sessions after work.

Serendipity intervened when an old college friend managing a music venue needed an opener for LANY. Recalling his musical inclination from their school days, he extended an invitation. In just 10 days, he wrote, produced, and rehearsed a 5-song set, making his debut with LANY in September of 2015.

Could Ever's music is a captivating journey, guided by the spirit of the cowboy, through yearning and nostalgia, loneliness and love, the battle against time and conformity, and the weight of regrets and guilt — all in the pursuit of answering the question, “Could I ever get better?”
