Tia Brazda’s jazz-pop gems and bold style have made a sparkling impression at home and abroad, paying homage to the golden era while remaining daringly modern. Tia began honing her unique twist on jazz in the clubs of Toronto before bursting onto the scene in 2012 with her electro-swing-tinged debut ‘Cabin Fever’, topping charts and receiving airplay across Canada and Europe. She followed that up with 'Bandshell', a mix of swing jazz, rockabilly and pop. Her new album ‘Daydream’ also debuted at #1 on the iTunes jazz chart and sees her going in new directions again, with influences of soul, bossa nova, and pop blended together to make a unique sound that is all her own. In 2017 she performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (rated ‘Best of the Fest’), and in 2016 she headlined the main stage at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.
