The TickEncounter Resource Center promotes tick-bite protection and tick-borne disease prevention by engaging, educating, and empowering people to take action.
URI's Center For Vector-Borne Disease is a non-profit organization devoted to preventing insect- and arthropod-transmitted infections in order to eliminate tick-borne disease in Rhode Island and beyond. Our mission is to support individual and community decisions in implementing tick-bite protection and tick-borne disease prevention strategies. We will actively seek out those people and entities that will help make a difference, and encourage them to do their part.
