Ben Saunders is a record-breaking polar explorer, 3x TED main stage 'master storyteller', and climate-tech investor at Kintanna Ventures.
Across two decades of expeditions, he has covered more than 4,500 miles on foot. In 2014, Ben and his teammate Tarka L'Herpiniere made the first return journey to the South Pole on the same route attempted by Sir Ernest Shackleton. At 1,795 miles (2,888 km) the Scott Expedition is the longest human-powered polar journey in history.
Drawing from his profound experiences at the edge of the world, Ben is now hosting the New Frontiers podcast.
New Frontiers profiles the individuals who have pushed the boundaries of what's possible, and are now channelling that same pioneering spirit to tackle the climate crisis.
