For over 47 years, Haciendo Punto en Otro Son has exalted Puerto Rican culture. Band members composed music for published poetry and wrote their own songs. Haciendo Punto’s repertoire has been sung by generations and it has become part of the Puerto Rican folklore. The band distinguished for cultural exchange with other countries. Their contribution was the dissemination of other performers' music from the Caribbean and Latin America as well as their own county.
