I am a pianist from the Philippines.

RPCJT, the name of our Youtube Channel, stands for Romantic Piano Concerto Journey Tours (rpcjt), our main project since January 2001. Together with my mentor, Prof. Reynaldo G. Reyes (Orchestra part), we have given about 400 concerts on 2 pianos all over the Philippines, and in some key cities in Asia and the United States, with myself taking the Soloist parts in our concerto repertoire from the Romantic Period.

Prof. Reyes and I give a pre-concert talk on the music and an Open Forum at the end. We have played in all kinds of venues...school auditoriums and gyms, churches, medical centers, retirement homes, historical gardens, corporate offices, hotel facilities, clubs, public parks, as well as at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Manila.

Our main purpose for these 2-piano concerts, besides classical music appreciation, is to convey to our countrymen the importance of classical music in everyone's daily lives, not necessarily as practitioners but as listeners.

All concerts are recorded LIVE with unfortunately less than ideal conditions, equipment and amenities, and we therefore offer these videos as documentary material.

We have also managed to retrieve old Betamax and VHS tapes from the 80's and have uploaded these. From the 90's, we are gradually sharing videos from my developmental work with the Cebu-based Cebu Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) and the Peace Philharmonic Philippines (PPP), www.pppgreetsiss.blogspot.com

The years 2001 up to the present represent mostly my 2-piano rpcjt concerts with Prof. Reyes, and some with the PPP String Quartets/Quintets both in Manila and Cebu.

The above latter combination is in the "new" genre that I am now trying to develop and promote in the Philippines...that of a piano soloist playing concertos accompanied by a string quartet or quintet. My ardent wish is to contribute something unique in my country, and, through Youtube, to share this with all music lovers abroad, generating friendship and goodwill through music.
