Piotr Borkowski - official

Piotr Borkowski (b. Warsaw, 1963), conductor, a pupil of prof. Boguslaw Madey, a graduate of the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw (presently the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) with distinction for conducting the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra in diploma concert (1989), followed by assistantship in the Department of Conducting at his Alma Mater, doctorate (Ph.D.) 1998 and granted the title of Doctor Hab. of Musical Arts by the National Committee for Grades and Titles of the Republic of Poland.
Worked as music director, chief conductor, and resident conductor in Poland (Olsztyn State Philharmonic, Gorzow Philharmonic, United Chamber Orchestra), South Korea (Suwon Philharmonic) and India (Symphony Orchestra of India in Mumbai).
Regularly conducts many orchestras in Poland (including Warsaw National Philharmonic and NOSPR in Katowice) as well as in France, Italy, Sweden, USA, Germany, Russia, Taiwan, China, South-Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and India.
