I originally set this channel up to display my videos of whatever, but it somehow turned into me ranting (and teaching) about electronics. I want people to be able to understand electronics without needing to know a lot of mathematics, just like being able to repair a car engine without needing to know the Carnot Cycle or ideal gas laws.
I am an electrical engineer for CSX Corporation. I manage mobile diesel-electric generator modules, made by General Electric and the Electro-Motive Division. They are capable of developing 3 megawatts of power each. Some days I work with just one, and some days, I have three or more of them under my control.
I also work with superconductors on good days, but standard conductors are very efficient too. That's the life with CSX - high-power equipment and conductors.
