Rodney O & Joe Cooley

Rodney O & Joe Cooley are an American rap group from Compton, California. West Coast pioneers best known for tracks such as "Everlasting Bass," "Cooley High," and "This is for the Homies." Rodney-O is a rapper and Joe Cooley is a DJ. The group also included occasional vocals from hype man General Jeff. The group's first record was distributed by Macola Records, which also distributed seminal works by Eazy-E, N.W.A and Ice-T. Having met him during their days at Ichiban, the duo worked with Vanilla Ice as a producing group called "Tha Hit-Men" between 1992 and 1994.
