Our web series "About people and about war" is a collection of short stories based on the stories of eyewitnesses who experienced the hardships of wartime.
These are tragic, heroic or even ironic situations. Many characters are guys and girls who had dreams, plans, love, happiness and creation ahead in their lives. But the war intervened...
Over time, it becomes more difficult to keep the memory of the great deeds of the ancestors. With our project, we want to remind you that even in the darkest and most terrible days, a person is capable of the best manifestations of the soul: courage and self-sacrifice, creativity and humor, compassion and love.
Participants and witnesses of the World War II rarely and reluctantly shared their painful memories. Therefore, insultingly little reliable materials relating to the everyday life of the war are known.
