3D FRIENDS is the solo project and moniker of Dan C. Wright, an American singer-songwriter and record producer originally from Austin, TX. Wright was previously signed to Hype Music, a collaboration between Extreme Music, MTV, and Sony Music Publishing. In 2010, 3D FRIENDS' single "Lina Magic" was chosen as the theme song for MTV's version of the hit television show "Skins". Since 2011, his music has been featured in hundreds of television shows, including Jersey Shore, Punk'd, Catfish, The Voice, Supergirl, and The Goldbergs, to name a few. Wright's music style has been compared to Elliott Smith and Thomas Mars from the French alternative band Phoenix by the American radio journalist Nic Harcourt.

In 2021, 3D FRIENDS teamed up with Aaron Carter (younger brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter) to write what would be Carter's last full-length album, "Blacklisted". The album was released in 2022 and features four songs with Carter's close friend and collaborator 3D FRIENDS.
