Å·thë·îst Pronunciation[ey-thee-ist]
--noun
One without a belief in, or one who lacks a belief in, the existence of a god or gods.
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof" - Marcello Truzzi
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." - Carl Sagan
After reading the preceding definition, and quotes above; let me add that I contend that the burden of proof rests upon those who assert that something exists. That being said I would like ANY theist to give me irrefutable proof/evidence that their god and/or gods exist. By this, I mean proof that cannot have any other explanation than a god and/or gods. And please do not refer to your holy book such as the Bhagavad Gita, Tanakh, Bible, and Qur'an as evidence. That would be equivalent to using a word in the definition of the same word. That is just something you do not do.
P.S.
"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." - Voltaire
