Hello there! I love western rock music. But there is only one band in my country that I find to be as impressive as all the great British and American rock bands: the Soviet rock band KINO. They were unknown outside of the Eastern Bloc, but in the 1980s, they had the same impact on the USSR as the Beatles had on the whole globe two decades earlier. After the tragic death of their leader, Viktor Tsoi, the band dissolved, and his bandmates lost the rights to their songs when the Soviet Union broke apart. With the assistance of Viktor's son, the band's guitarist, Yuri Kasparyan, and bassists, Alexander Titov and Igor Tikhomirov, were able to regain the rights in 2017. Together, they decided to put the band's discography in order and re-release each album using the original analog master tapes because none of the earlier releases were of good quality. Now, we finally have the albums that sound and look as originally planned. If you like this band too, you're undoubtedly in the right place!
