Chocolate Salsa's artistic director and teacher, Raul de la Paz, is a professional dancer since 1996 and a professional dance teacher since 2000. Specialized in Cuban popular dances such as Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Rumba, Son, Cha cha cha, Danzon or Mambo. Recognised as a professional of Contemporary and Folkloric Dance by the Cuban Institute of Music and the Havana Dance Centre. Former principal dancer and founder of the Cuban dance companies "Renovacion" and "Oro negro", he has shared stage with the best Cuban dance companies (e.g. Cuban TV Ballet, Yoruba Andabo) and bands (e.g. Buena Vista Social Club, Van Van, Charanga Habanera).
