Got so incredibly busy these past weeks IRL, on top of FFXIV Dawntrail expansion. Apologies to anyone for inactivity or couldn't reach out to me.

I've officially created the playlist for a DOA Battle Dome series. I genuinely would like to push for it so I super appreciate the support from everyone. This was something I wanted to do for ages but just couldn't get the timing right (still working on it).

I'll likely be starting off simple/ small to test the waters since it's pretty much uncharted territories for consistency on my end, nothing too crazy or exaggerated. Just wanted to make sure everyone keep their expectations normal because I've had tons of positive messages for the idea (thank you by the way!), but I also didn't want anyone to feel disappointed or have the wrong impression of me if it's not an A+ material for an early heads up ahaha.

I wasn't kidding from what I previously mentioned with the messages, tons of heart-warming messages that the more I read, the more I felt with weight load on my shoulder to try and make people happy.

I do want to keep the DOA friends & community entertained so I'll try my best.

I'm essentially making a DOA Battle Dome with players all over and on a separate playlist, the only issue I have at the moment is coming up with a consistent schedule for it. I'm still going to try and push for this.

For added context, I'm also pretty much an avid FFXIV player which is an MMORPG (which is also the main game I play for years now) while working at a gym and side security work. Usually I have to put a pause on one game to put focus in another, but I think I can find a workaround. But generally it's just real life taking most of the time so hopefully I can make things happen for everyone.

Some good news everyone. There is a bit of DOA stuff that I never had the chance to upload and edit, with some positive editions that I'll also upload more matches with actual losses and even new matches with two different players so that the content isn't just about me all the time ahaha. I think it'll make refreshing bits of content and expands new mentality. I'll also possibly merge new uploaded matches to be merged into one for a longer videos of any matches I upload.

I also believe making stuff where you win all the time can get people the wrong idea, truthfully this wasn't on purpose since many times in the past it was mostly to show how powerful a character can be in real matches. Moments like "What!? but I never seen him lose!", trust me friends, there are plenty of matches out there where I had my own fair share of losses. It has to be done in a way that also helps the other user, because there are matches in the past of me uploading my losses where some believed I was sandbagging or purposely giving the others a win etc.

^ (a receiving feedback I've had a while back where they expect you to win "every time" which is strange)

So I have to examine carefully of determining good matches with losses. Overall, I think it's a good change of pace and might create some new suspense instead of major expectations, hope everyone gets a fantastic day!

Someone offered me $2000 for my PSN account for DOA5LR because it has Mai whom was delisted for that game, the DOAFES costumes of Kasumi & Marie Rose which you can only get if you traveled to tournaments, and the delisted Attack on Titan stage.

Here's the problem with that. It would still not be enough because the individual would also be taking my account with "all" the games I've purchased over the years (including presently) lol.

Slowly knocking out games that I have to catch up on (Rise of the Ronin/Stellar Blade etc.) if anyone was wondering on the recent uploads, but will be back on the DOA uploads at some point! hope everyone gets a fantastic week.

Heyo friends! some bit of news regarding DOA matches content. I just want to start off and say that I deeply apologize to anyone for my lack of uploads. Mostly IRL responsibilities and occasionally playing other games here and there (mostly IRL stuff).

The bit of news I've run into regarding DOA is mostly DOA5 related (and maybe DOA6). It's actually becoming rather difficult to find players in the online server side of the game via DOA5LR to make content with due to the longevity of game lifespan influence, status, and platform limitations. Part of it also aligns to platform since my now go-to platform for gaming is PC, which may have an effect to any content I upload in the future. Here is my current bits of DOA5 and DOA6:

DOA5LR:

- I own the game on PS5/PS4 and PC.

- The PC version lacks lobbies, which finding players on PC ranked can be difficult even if it's based on time/day. Eventually I'll have to ask friends for matches to alleviate that for the PC version, but even that can be rare at times.

- DOA5LR online activity on console is pretty much a wasteland. Hosting a lobby for 1-3 slots can last up to an hour or more, which more often times with people not joining at all, and if someone does join it ends up being a new player which might ruin their experience. On the searching side, there will be lobbies at the very least up to 2, but usually with non-standard settings. Things such as 2 rounds, or max rounds with largest health or smallest health turned on, or tag mode etc. And if I do join, it's usually newer players playing with their friends which is not something I would always join because it may ruin their experience of the game or their enjoyment.

DOA6:

- I only own the PC version (sold the PS4 version of the game years ago). Reason for that is at the time I just didn't see the reason to keep both versions if i'm more active on PC. I probably could of kept it since the console version was more active, but about a year ago on trying the Core Fighters it was practically another version of the game where getting consistent players relied on time/day, it's just less of a wasteland than DOA5LR was. Mostly not the game's fault, but just the interest of DOA across the playerbase is not as high as it used to be.

- The PC version has a mod which is the DOA6++ mod. It's a fan made mod of an alternative custom version which has a bit of a downside. You can only play with others that have that mod installed. Not everyone has access to it (PS/Xbox players for example) and there are a chunk of players on the PC version who are either unaware of its existence still or not interested in installing it. If you are installing it you are technically in a split niche situation from an already niche game.

--------------------------------------

There's probably more at the top of my head, but it's stuff that's probably doesn't have to be said anymore xD. When it comes to DOA, I may have to try and put more effort into offline modes and finding more stuff. I'll still try to get matches of course but just giving everyone the heads up if it's really slow uploads just in case. Hope everyone gets a fantastic day!

Oh yeah I heard about the DOA drama situation on social media recently. Personally I like the fanservice and that they should go all out with it. Bring out more outfits for big tiddies Nyotengu. I do understand both sides though.

This is going to be a long post, but will post my experience of the situation and of the series including offline+traveling to many events, which would probably be surprising for some people for what they might read upcoming. I've tried the series in DOA2 but didn't get involved until DOA3, and only started putting time into it until the end of DOA4 (was playing another game back then) / early DOA5 vanilla. It'll mostly be tied experience of the entirety of DOA5 and all it's versions. I can't speak for DOA6 on it's late lifespan but it looked to be what DOA5 vanilla went through sorta.

I remember doing a social experiment with SlyBass and Duane on trying to get people into DOA via offline, we social tested in three locations: one at ECT during 5U, one at NEC before tournament time/after tournament, and lastly Next Level Arcades in NYC where we found answers on what people thought of DOA if they heard of it/played it/liked it while we showed KBD, frame data and all that snazz etc.

To my surprise there is quite a lot of people out there that genuinely do like the DOA cast, but just straight up don't like the DOA mechanics. Even opposite rarer ones where some think the mechs are cool but just don't find the cast appealing or interesting. Even close friends from other FGs I speak with here and there enjoy the series as a whole, but just can't get into it from a competitive level. Especially if they come from another fighting game where they have more affinity to their main game they play before trying something else. This is reasonable and normal behavior in my opinion. Mind you that those are mostly up to very competitive players all the way to mid-casual players I approached, so doesn't entirely apply to people that only play DOA casually just for fun.

^ People would be wondering at this point on what's that got to do with the oversexualized fanservice situation. Well... if majority of the competitive peeps from outside/other FGs games don't like the default mechanics of a particular series... then toning down the oversexualized fanservice probably wouldn't solve anything because they still wouldn't play it even if their life depended on it. Basically it's almost like catering to something that doesn't exist. Getting DOA to grow on the competitive scene is actually pretty difficult and it did make me wonder if it was worth the hassle sometimes.

I mean yo, I was not joking here when I said that me and Sly legitimately tried to get people to play DOA many years back, showing frame data and everything, and people just don't like to:

- Try another game when they are comfortable on where they at. (Big one imo), if they are getting more on offer with Tekken then there's nothing you can do.

- They just don't like the mechs. (another big one).

- They heard the rough memes, DLC practice memes, DOAX/VV memes etc. where they rather not be part of it (social media influence damage, another huge one).

- Insert more DOA stigma here.

Basically DOA is in a losing war. To end my long post on the newsfeed, even if they decide to tone down/or control the sexualized fanservice to try and get DOA supposedly more recognized or taken serious, it's not going to help if majority of other fighting game communities just flat out don't like DOA mechanics anyway to get involved or even a slight of interest to try so it's a losing battle.

At the end of the day, it just ends up on a matter of preference. DOA becomes a bit niche because of some of these factors+more unmentioned, but the DOA community has a very good strong passion on the series both competitive and casual that people should appreciate I feel.
