Richard Clayderman was born in Paris in 1957 and has become one of the most successful pianists of all time. Accepted into the ‘Conservatoire de Paris’ at 12, he went on to become a session musician, but his life changed dramatically upon meeting Olivier Toussaint and Paul de Senneville. Paul de Senneville had written a ballade for his daughter Adeline and, with his partner Olivier Toussaint, were searching for a pianist to play it. Richard was chosen and following release, ‘Ballade Pour Adeline’ earned acclaim firstly Europe and by 1979, becoming one of the most famous piano pieces in the world, selling over 22 million copies in 38 countries.

Dubbed ‘The Prince Of Romance’, Richard enjoys a career spanning six decades, with album sales of 90 million, more than 1,400 recorded titles in his trademark romantic style. His broad repertoire encompasses original compositions as well as classical and pop standards that are enjoyed the world over.
