Sharon Lyons
Sharon is a soprano based in Ireland.
She appears in a singing capacity (and on set!) in season one of the American hit television series 'The Viking's', which was made by the History Channel. This chant 'Sacrifice' which appears at the end of episode 8 ,was composed by Sharon and performed live on set during filming.
A freelance singer and musician, Sharon also runs Kerry Vocal Academy and is Director of Music in St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney. She is also a member of Fuaimloai and Lassus, two choirs based in Ireland.
Sharon holds a PhD specialising in liturgical vocal music. She performs regularly in Ireland and abroad, and at home her regular job involves giving workshops, teaching and lecturing.
