If a song that was previously not on YouTube is uploaded to YouTube by the original creator, I'll unlist my video so it isn't competing for search results, but also doesn't mess up anyone's playlists. The only cases where I will not do this is if 1) my upload contains lyrics and/or translations while the official upload doesn't or 2) my upload was copyright claimed, in which case the original creator will be getting money anyway.
