I Met Mr. Ratan Tata Sir for 3 Seconds and Froze!


Back in 2019, I was at Taj, Mumbai for a meeting. Post-meeting, I strolled around the corridors and casually decided to check out the swimming pool area. There, in a corner, Mr. Ratan Tata was having breakfast and conversing with someone.

For a moment, I couldn't believe it. No security, just hotel staff nearby. I mean look at my luck, I was visiting Taj Mumbai for the very first time and I was there just for an hour. After confirming it was indeed Mr. Tata, I knew I couldn't miss this opportunity. I wanted to walk upto him and tell him how much I admire him and also ask him for a picture with me.

I rehearsed my lines, waiting for the time he finishes his breakfast. After he finished breakfast, I gathered the courage and approached him.

"Hello," I said, smiling.

He turned left and replied with a smile, “Hello”

But then, I froze. My rehearsed lines vanished. A foreign guest intervened, requesting a photo, and Mr. Tata graciously obliged before departing.

Rest in peace, Mr. Tata. Your impact on Indian business and philanthropy will forever be cherished.

Is Shark Tank India playing musical chairs with its judges ?


As a fan of entrepreneurship, I truely respect what Shark Tank India is doing for the mainstream and masses but

14 Judges in 3 Seasons
Are we playing roulette with the judges?

Shark Tank in the US or even in Australia have had constant judges (majorly) since it’s formation.

Now I know some of you might say it’s better for the show as a new judge adds new perspective and brings in new audience but I feel changing so many judges really undermines:

🚨Consistency: Familiar judges provide continuity, making it easier for viewers to connect.

🚨Expertise: Constant changes dilute the collective knowledge and experience.

🚨Chemistry: Dynamic between judges is crucial; new faces disrupt this.

🚨Investor-Entrepreneur Relationships: Building trust and rapport is harder with changing faces.

TBH, It’s a Shitty Move by Swiggy!

While the whole internet is going Ga Ga over Swiggy sponsoring shark tank season 4 and ousting Deepinder Goyal, I think this move reeks desparation, not strategy.

To be honest, Swiggy’s actions scream of its insecurity and fear of competition.

Infact Swiggy is helping its competition now!

How ?

Let me explain:

Generating sympathy for Deepinder Goyal and Zomato ✅

Validating Zomato’s market leadership and brand loyalty ✅

As far as everyone’s favourite Shark Tank India is concerned, it is sinking credibility big time.

Their viewership is falling and would fall further because the audience woulnt’t trust shark tank anymore, if a sponsor has a say in the judge panel, I am pretty sure a sponsor can also have a say in the pitches. Don’t be shocked if a F&B pitch is not shown because they have an exclusive deal with Blinkit/Zomato. Indian audience don’t like puppets.

It also feels like Shark tank is playing roulette with its judges: Ashneer Grover Ghazal Alagh Deepinder Goyal, let’s see who’s next!

It would have been fun to watch Deepinder Goyal be a shark tank judge with Swiggy’s logos all over.

It would have been even better to watch deepinder Goyal doing a brand integration with the sponsor of Shark Tank India (Swiggy)!

What do you think, will this backfire or I am just exaggerating?

Goa is dying a slow death!


Before you label me as an “Anti-National” read me out!

I travel 3 times a year to goa and it has always been a Go-To destination for me, my family, my friends etc

Infact, my friends are investing heavily in Goa's real estate, resorts, and clubs. I'm like, "Guys, are you sipping on some feni?"

The math and the numbers don’t match.

Foriegn tourist coming to India are not even at 2019 levels right now. I know some of you will comment below saying that the domestic travel to Goa has increased. Yes it has but the travellers to Goa are now swooning over to Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Dubai etc because they offer better experiences, luxury, and value.

Goa grapples with:

Exorbitant Airbnb Rentals ❌
Taxi Mafias ❌
Beach Pollution ❌
Petty Thefts & Scams ❌
Overpriced bars ❌

Until we fix these points, Goa’s charm will fade faster than a Sunburn 🥵
