Stop Trafficking Africa rescues and repatriates Nigerian women trafficked to the UAE for sexual exploitation. STA has worked closely with NAPTIP in Nigeria to uncover human traffickers and bring them to justice. Dubai is a major sex tourism destination and consequently hosts a significant population of women who have been trafficked for sex. The abundance of visas, the lack of background checks, the lack of prosecutions of traffickers, the lack of international law enforcement cooperation and the kafala system all conspire to make the UAE a major destination for West African victims of human trafficking.
